How long will it take to arrive?

Most orders arrive within 5 to 8 business days. Your necklace is put together after you order it — production takes 3 to 5 business days, then delivery is usually 2 to 3. If it's for a specific date, order about two weeks ahead so you're not watching the tracking every hour.

What does the card say? Can I change it?

The card is already written, and that's deliberate. There are five of them — you pick which one by picking which necklace:

To My Girlfriend — You made my life better without ever making a big deal of it. I love you.

To My Wife — You carry more than your share and somehow make it look easy. I love you. Today and always.

To My Mom — You put up with a lot from me and never made me feel bad. I love you. Thank you.

To My Daughter — You became someone I'd want to know even if you weren't mine. I love you. Always have.

To My Sister — Nobody else knows the whole story. You were there for all of it. I love you.

You can't edit the wording, and that's the point rather than a limitation. Most people know exactly what they mean and can't find the words for it. These are those words, printed properly and sitting in the box when she opens it.

Will it turn her skin green?

No. That happens with cheap alloy and plated brass, where the metal underneath reacts with skin. This is surgical steel, which is the same family of steel used for medical instruments. It doesn't corrode and it doesn't react.

Is it real gold?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. It's polished surgical steel with a gold finish — rose gold on one option, 18K yellow gold on the other. A solid gold necklace at this price doesn't exist. The finish is what gives it the colour; the steel underneath is what makes it last. Both finishes are the same price.

What does the pendant actually look like, and how big is it?

Two hearts, interlocked, set with cubic zirconia. The pendant measures 0.6 inches tall and 1.1 inches across — noticeable, not oversized. It's two-tone rather than a single colour: on the silver and rose gold option, one heart is polished steel and the other is rose gold. The chain is adjustable from 18 to 22 inches with a lobster clasp, so it fits almost everyone without you having to guess.

Does it come in a box?

Yes. Every order arrives in a gift box with the card inside, ready to hand over. You don't need to wrap anything. There's also a luxury box with an LED spotlight that lights the necklace when the lid opens, if you want the moment to be a bit more of a moment.

What if it arrives damaged or wrong?

Email us a photo within 30 days and we'll send a replacement free. You don't need to mail the original back to us.

Can I return it if she doesn't love it?

Because every piece is made to order, we can't take pieces back for change of mind — there's no shelf to put it back on. What we will always do is replace anything that arrives faulty, damaged or not as described. If something's wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

Where does it ship from?

Florida. That's why it reaches you in days rather than the three weeks you'd wait on something posted from overseas.

Can she wear it swimming?

Take it off first. The chain and pendant are surgical steel, so the metal itself won't rust or mark her skin — that part is tough. But the gold colour is a finish sitting on top of the steel, and chlorine and salt water are hard on any plated finish. It won't fall apart, it will just dull and wear faster than it should. Same reason we say to take it off in the shower. Looked after, it stays looking right for years.

How do I look after it?

Keep it dry and avoid liquids. Wipe it with a soft cloth now and then to lift smudges and dust. Take it off before showering and keep perfume off the pendant. The steel is tough but the finish appreciates a bit of care.
